  • Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership-based model that allows us to focus on what matters most: your child and your family. Instead of billing insurance for each visit, we charge a simple monthly fee that covers all of your care with us. This allows for longer appointments, direct access to your pediatrician, and a truly personalized experience—without the rushed, transactional feel of traditional healthcare.

  • Your monthly membership includes unlimited in-office visits, extended appointment times, direct messaging with your pediatrician, same- or next-day scheduling, care coordination, in office labs, and more. It also includes telemedicine and after-hours access, so you’re never left wondering what to do when your child is sick or you have a concern. For pricing please see our Membership page.

  • Yes. While we don’t bill insurance for our services, we do recommend that families carry insurance for things we don’t provide—like ER visits, hospitalizations, specialist care, or expensive labs/imaging that happen outside our office. Think of DPC as your trusted front line, with insurance there as a safety net for the bigger stuff.

  • We offer in-office testing and can provide most routine labs at-cost. Any external labs, imaging, vaccines, or prescriptions will be discussed with you beforehand and can be billed through your insurance, if desired. The Village Pediatrics does not work with VFC (Vaccines for Children) at this time.  We never surprise you with hidden fees or bills after the fact. We’re also happy to coordinate with outside providers to help you find the best quality and pricing.

  • Yes — one of the core benefits of direct care is having direct access to your pediatrician when you need support. I am available for urgent/emergent concerns and time-sensitive questions outside of regular hours, so you’re not left wondering what to do or where to turn.

  • I see children from birth through adolescence and into early adulthood. Whether you’re welcoming a newborn, navigating preschool transitions, or guiding a teen through changing needs, I’m here to walk alongside your family at every stage.

  • Absolutely. I offer free Meet & Greet appointments so you can get to know me, ask questions, and decide if The Village Pediatrics is the right fit for your family. There’s no pressure—just a warm conversation. (Link or button for book a M&G).

  • Nope—membership is month-to-month, and you’re free to cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. We understand that needs and circumstances can change, and we want this to be a partnership that works for your family. There are no contracts, no hidden fees—just care that meets you where you are.

  • Yes, in most cases you can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for your membership. We recommend checking with your individual plan provider to confirm eligibility based on your account rules.

  • While we provide the same high-touch, personalized care you’d expect from a concierge practice, The Village Pediatrics is technically a direct primary care (DPC) practice. The difference? Traditional concierge practices bill your insurance and often collect co-pays on top of an annual retainer fee. In contrast, DPC is fully membership-based—we don’t bill insurance at all, and your monthly fee covers all your care with us. This makes DPC more accessible, especially for families who are between insurances, underinsured, or simply looking for a simpler way to receive care.

  • Yes. While your membership with The Village Pediatrics is outside of insurance, you can absolutely continue using your insurance for services outside the practice — including prescription medications, lab work (when billed directly through your insurance at an outside lab), imaging, specialist visits, and emergencies.

Your insurance works the same way it always has for those services. The Village membership simply replaces traditional insurance-based primary care, giving you direct access, longer visits, and proactive support without the barriers of typical office-based billing.

  • Yes. While most families join for the access, continuity, and un-rushed care that a membership provides, I understand that not every family is ready to commit right away. I offer several one-time service options so your child can still receive high-quality, personalized care when you need it:

    • One Time Visits: Thorough, same- or next-day assessments for acute concerns, as well as sports/camp/school physicals.

    • Ear Piercings: A safe, sterile, medical-grade piercing experience for children using hypoallergenic jewelry, with aftercare guidance included.

    • ADHD Package: A comprehensive, evidence-based evaluation that includes history, screening tools, school input, and a detailed treatment plan. As well as 6 months of follow along medical management with direct access to Dr. Libby via text or email for ADHD related questions or concerns. *Any lab work will be billed through insurance or offered at cost, separately.

    • Autism Evaluations: Each evaluation includes a detailed history, standardized screening tools, observation, and collaborative discussion. You’ll receive a clear, comprehensive plan of care—covering next steps, therapy recommendations, school supports, and family resources—so you know exactly how to move forward with confidence.

These one-time services do not include the full benefits of membership, but they offer an opportunity to experience the care and connection The Village Pediatrics is built on. You can learn more about each of these offerings under our services tab.
